California Here I Come....

California here I come,
Right back where I started from,
Where bowers and flowers bloom in the sun,
Each morning at dawning birdies sing and everything.
A sun kissed miss said "Don't be late."
Thats why I can hardly wait,
So open up those Golden gate California here I COME.

Ok, so I'm from Maine not California; but, I am going to California on Saturday for two weeks. Mom (pictured above with my sister Karyn) is finally going to get her hip done. She had her knee done less than a year ago, but she just can't stand the pain anymore. I can't say I blame her. There are some days where my arthritic hips and knees are just SCREAMING at me. It runs in my mother's side of the family. Darn heredity!

I am finishing up some custom sweater orders (thank you, cold snap!), and working on some sweaters to list for while I'm gone. I won't be home but I will have my new Toshiba laptop with me. Yes, hubby bought me a laptop. I wanted the one with the camera in the top, but this one is super cool too. He even got me the cordless mouse. It's easier to play Solitare with the mouse. :-)

I'm packing up a suitcase with hooks, needles, yarn, and my daughter's looms because I KNOW I won't be able to be without my toys. I can't go a day without them, let alone two weeks.

Hopefully, things will warm up a little here while I'm gone and I can get in my Spring/Summer frame of mind. I still have my sample items to make and get modeled. I can't wait to show you all what I'm going to be doing!
