Hello and good-bye

I'm leaving for a week in Maine this morning. Mom and I have to take care of some things with Grampy's estate. He had a will, but everything wasn't covered in it.

We've learned a lot from his passing....1) get a thorough will, and 2) throw stuff away before your next of kin has to do it. MERCY, the stuff he kept! I hear it's a common problem with elderly folks, or those that lived through the '30s.

On a business note:
* I've been quite busy lately. I've been creating about one custom knit order every month. Hopefuly, that'll pick up.

* I'm selling on Custom Mom.com

* I'm donating some ribbon T's to the NCWHS Band Parents Craft Show, Normal, IL on November 19, 2005

* I'm going to help raise money for The Spence Farm. Marty and Kris are a great couple with a strong sense of stewardship. At their family farm they teach about diversity, heirloom crops, heritage breed animals, conservation of natural areas, woodland management, restoration of buildings, and preservation of heritage.

They will be having a Christmas in the Schoolhouse craft fair in December to raise funds for restoring the old schoolhouse on the property. That's where I come in. I will be selling my handcrafted items with a percentage of the proceeds going to the farm. Hopefully, we can keep it as an on-going venture.

Have a great week!
Beth
