I HAVE to vent....eBay drama

I may be committing the infamous “eBay boutique suicide” or putting myself on the notorious “eBay blacklist” (if I’m not already there). I half expect to gain enemies. However, I have some things to say.

I have visited several blogs and read some of the posts. I haven’t always known who was being discussed as its most always done in “code”. I guess if I was in the right circles I would have a clue. Maybe it’s a blessing that I’m not, and therefore I don’t.

Within groups of people there is always a hierarchy that exists. There are always those who are readily accepted into the inner circle, and there are those who are left out. There are those who feel like they fight to maintain their position on the totem pole, and there are those who are propelled simply by knowing the right people. Is it right? Is it wrong? Who’s to say? I just know that it simply is what it is. People may deny the existence of such things, but we all know better.

There are some wonderful, beautiful angels on eBay. They would do anything for their online friends…women they have never even met. The generosity I’ve seen in some eBay groups floors me. Hugs to those of you I’m speaking of!

However, there are also women who don’t do anything for you without getting something in return…you scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours. There are also women who will play both parts when it suits their needs. They can be as hateful as a snake, and then turn around and be kissy-kissy to someone else.

Something that has always bothered me was how some women are practically thrashed for saying what many are thinking but afraid to say; but then others can be tactless, and they are applauded.

I try VERY hard to not pay attention to any ongoing drama. I may read about it, but like a lot of people most times I wouldn’t dare give an opinion in fear of retaliation. Yes, I fear retaliation for simply sharing what’s on my mind. Now isn’t that pathetic that someone should feel that way when she thinks she’s among friends? I already feel my beliefs are an issue to some people. Just because I love God and like some others will at times bring it up, it's not allowed. Why allow the prayer requests then? You can't have it both ways...pick a side.

How do I know that ugly exists in people? Recently I was given a hard time on a blog for advertising for an eBay group I’m in. Did I attack anyone? Did I put anyone down? Absolutely not! However, several women couldn’t help themselves from being rude and adamant about how wrong I was. Funny though, they weren’t so convicted that they could bother to sign their names. And I’m quite sure these women are the same women who are nice to me in other circumstances…like chatting in an eBay group.

I can’t believe the behavior I’ve seen this year from grown women. I’m not saying who is right or who is wrong. People are aware of their own actions, and they know full well if what they are doing and saying is acceptable and/or appropriate. All I’m saying is if you are in the clear, then I applaud you for keeping your wits about you. If, however, you are someone who participates in negativity then CHECK YOURSELF. It’s not that difficult to treat others like you want to be treated. In fact, try being nicer to people than you want in return…pay it forward.
