40 years ago on January 22, 1966 in Fort Lee, Virginia a baby girl was born to a young military couple (Charles & Sharon).

Turning 40 isn't so much a problem in itself. It's more of the baggage that goes along with it. The creaky joints, the "silver" hairs, the wrinkles, and teenage kids.

I turned to my Bible for scripture to put this life event into perspective:

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Corinthians 13:11-12
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

That's about it for now. I have about 15 minutes left to be 39....think I'll hit the hay. ;-)
