Chi-town

We had some friends visit us from Apex, NC this past week. LOVED seeing them! We did SO much including shopping, the county fair, eating, and going into Chicago.

The girls wanted to go to American Girl Place while we were in Chicago. I had a blast with them! It's like a candy store, but stocked with dolls. I didn't intend to buy anything, but we came home with a brand new Bitty Baby which my daughter named Ashley Anne.



We ate at Portillos (my most favorite Chicago eatery), and had the famous cheese fries.

The was going on, so we did that too. Fairs are always a blast for people-watching.



We also went to . We were not able to see the new Beluga calf, but you can read about him on the Shedd website.

We went to the McDonalds in Chicago, and it had escalators in it! This is very different than the McDonalds we have locally.



We thoroughly enjoyed our week, and now I'm back to work to create items for Fall/Winter. I'm going back to my knitting and crochet for the upcoming cooler weather.
